Each year we usually hold a Miniroos Gala day, and Steve Leo was a great advocate of this day. It is a very busy day and becomes one of our biggest junior fundraising events of the year. However, for 2021, in collaboration with Cumberland United Soccer Club we are holding the inaugural Steve Leo Cup, which we are hoping will become an annual event.
All teams that are rostered to play Cumberland on Sunday 28th of February will play for points that go towards the cup. 3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw. The club at the end of the day with the most points wins the cup for 2021.
Please be mindful that although there are points to be earned this is still just a friendly day. We expect all coaches, players and families to participate in a manner that befits our code of conduct, and is respectful to all involved.
Team Managers at the conclusion of each game will bring the team sheet to the junior club room for the points to be added to the tally. The final score and the announcement of the cup winner will occur after the final Cumberland game, at approximately 1:45pm.
